A Theoretical-statistical Model for Urban Road Traffic Noise Prediction

A theoretical-statistical model for road traffic noise prediction was developed based on basic mathematic forms and data measured in field.Because this model is based on chinese vehicles and field work is performed following chinese GB standards,it is more suitable for noise prediction in China.Equivalent traffic flow and equivalent traffic speed are used to deal with mixed vehicles flow.More accurate modeling of influences and ground absorbtion on noise propagation is performed by detailing ground absobtion rate and using vegetation covering rate.This model has more reasonable result in road traffic noise prediction in comparison with similar models used abroad.
