Accumulation,Chemical Fractions and Phytoavailability of Cr in Tannery Sludge-amended Soils

Abstract:
The phytoavailability of various fractions in the tannery sludge amended soils was investigated employing a sequential extraction procedure as well as seedling culture experiment.The results showed that 2mol/L HCl extractable Cr could be the major fraction of soil Cr available to the plants.When the Cr content in soil was about 220 mg/kg,the Cr concentration of in plant reached maximum of 23.5mg/kg,which was hardly approachable in field condition.
