A New Enzyme Immunoassay for TEQ Screening of Dioxin/Furan in Environmental Samples
|
Abstract:
The collected environmental sample was divided into three parts, one of which was for TEQ determination by HRGC/HRMSMID,the other two parts was measured by Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA) and EROD bioassay respectively. The TEQs from EIA and EROD bioassay have a good relationship with those from chemical analysis, suggesting that both EIA and EROD bioassay are reliable for TEQ measurement. When the bioassay TEQs,which derived from EIA and EROD,were compared with results from chemical analysis respectively, the ERODTEQs(TEQEROD) are higher than the PCDD/FTEQs from chemical analysis (TEQPCDD/F).The ratios between TEQEROD and TEQPCDD/F lay between 1.83 to 3.06;the average ratio of TEQEROD/TEQPCDD/F is 1.83±059.However,for the EIA assay, the TEQEIA is around the value from chemical analysis. The ratio between TEQEIA and TEQPCDD/F is 050 to 1.40;the average ratio of TEQBIA/TEQPCDD/F is 088±040 It is obvious that the discrepancy between TEQEIA and the TEQPCDD/F is smaller than value between TEQEROD and TEQPCDD/F.This result reflects that the EIA assay should be more useful for a rapid and sensitive screening of environmental samples in many situations.
