Distribution of Uranium Contents in Tap Water and Natural Water in Shanghai

Abstract:
Introduced in this paper is the distribution of uranium contents in drinking water of Shanghai residents and in natural water sampled from the Yangtze River, the Huanpujiang River, rain and snow. The authors have engaged in monitoring continually for three years, and compared uranium contents from different sources and with those of other provinces and cities. The results show that uranium contents in Shanghai drinking water are lower in the natural water. They are all at background level.
