Study on the Treatment of Gentamycin and Aureomycin Wastewaters and the Measures for Pollution Control
|
Abstract:
A gentamycin wastewater, an aureomycinwastewater and a mixture of both wastewaterswere subjected to an anaerobic treatment ,an aerobic treatment or a combination of . both treatments in batch experiments. A COD removal of98. 4 % was given when a gentamycin wastewaterwith a COD concentration of 19240 mg/L wassubjected to an anaerobic treatment for 3 d andthen to an aerobic treatment for 10 h. A COD removal Of 95. 8% was given when a mixture ofgentamycin wastewater and aureomycin wastewater (1: 2) with a COD concentration of 7740mg/L was subjected to an anaerobic treatment for2 d and then to an aerobic treatment for 10 h.The COD concentration in final effluent could bereduced to less than 300 mg/L when the gentamyCin wastewater after an anaerobic treatmentfor 3d was combined with the aureomycinwastewater after an anaerobic treatment for 6 hand then subjected to an aerobic treatment for 4h.
