COMPONENTS OF FLUID INCLUSIONS OF BASALT FROM THE SOUTHERN OKINAWA TROUGH AND THEIR IMPLICATIONS
|
Abstract:
The components of fluid inclusions in tholeiite collected from the southern Okinawa Trough are analyzed by Laser Raman Spectroscopy The main components of fluid inclusions are CO 2,H 2O,H 2S,CH 4,N 2,C 2H 2,C 2H 4 and C 3H 8 In different host minerals, the contents of CO 2,H 2O and CH 4 are different The CO 2 content is the highest in anorthite, while that in crysolite is in the next place and that in augite is the least However, the content trend of CH 4 and H 2O is on the opposite According to the fluid components and their contents in the studied host minerals,it is inferred that the crystallization order of the studied host minerals are anorthite, crysolite and then augite It is also concluded that the hydrocarbon and water maybe primarily came from sedimentary strata when lava is arising
