Study on a Shortened Nitrification-Denitrification System for the Treatment of Coke-Plant Wastewater
|
Abstract:
A shorttened nitrification-denitrification system has been found to have the advantages such as high removal of loading, low COD and NH3-N concentrations in effluent and less requirement for carbon in denitrification. When the influent COD, NH3-N and TN concentrations are 1204.8, 274.3 and 443mg/L, respectively (HRT=26.2h), the effluent COD, NH2-N, NO3-N and TN are 36.3, 12.1, 9.25, 2.46 and 44.4mg/L, respectively. It was also showed in this paper that the system used in this study indeed followed a shorttened nitrification-denitrication pathway.
