THE SIZE JUDGEMENT OF SINGLE CHAIN AND SINGLE CHAIN SINGLE CRYSTAL OF ISOTACTIC POLYSTYRENE
|
Abstract:
Ultrafine particles were obtained by spreading dilute solution of isotactic polystyrene in benzene on a water surface, and the resulted particles were crystallized at 448.2K. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was used to observe both uncrystallized and crystallized particles. The molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of Ultrafine particles measured by TEM are approximately in agreement with that from GPC measurement. Therefore, the ultrafine particles are of single chain size.
