INVESTIGATION ON THE CRYSTALLIZATION KINETICS OF POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE AND ITS BLENDS WITH POLYETHERSULFONE
|
Abstract:
The isothermal crystallization kinetics of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), and is blends with polyethersulfone (PES) were investigated by DSC. It was found that the crystallization rate constant of the PPS treated with a-chloronaphthalene increased markedly, the Avrami exponent of PPS/PES blends was lower than pure PPS, and the crystallization rate constant had the lowest value following the blend composition change. The secondary crystallization effect appeared in the PPS/PES blends and the linear relationship between tn and tmax has been found.
