DETERMINATION OF BRANCHING IN POLYMERS BY GEL-PERMEATION CHROMATOGRAPHY

Based on the method for the determination of branching in polymers reported by Ambler, a calculation method and an electronic computer program were developed, to be used on a DJS-6 electronic computer made in China with ALGOL-60 language.The effects of branch models, short-chain branching and long-chain branch function on calculated results are discussed. It was concluded that this method can be used in qualitative comparison of branchings among Nickel-based cis-polybutadienes.
