STUDY ON BIREFRINGENCE OF BIAXIALLY HOT-STRETCHED ACRYLICS BY USING CONVERGENT POLARIZED LIGHT
|
Abstract:
An experimental method and its related principle using convergent polarized light for determining the birefringence of biaxially hot-stretched acrylics were presented. The equation proposed by M. J. Kramer has been simplified by the authors. The relationships between birefringence and percentage of stretch, stretching temperatures were studied and interference patterns were examined.
