Abstract:

Co-roasting process for molybdenite and pyrolusite was newly developed based on the strong oxidizability of molybdenite and the reducibility of pyrolusite, and how to treat the calcine and separate Mo and Mn was the key of new process. The solution of N235 (20%)?secondary octyl alcohol (10%)?sulphonated kerosene (70%) was selected as extractant to recover Mo from acid leaching solution of molybdenum calcine containing Mn, the optimal conditions were obtained, room temperature, extraction phase ratio A/O 2:1, extraction series 3 and the concentrations of H2SO4 in aqueous solution below 100 g/L. After extraction N235 phase was washed by H2SO4 (70 g/L) before stripping Mo by ammonia (17%), and stripping phase ratio O/W was set at 2:1, stripping series 3, the resulting extraction and stripping rates could reach 99.9% and 99.4%, respectively.
