Multiple Channeled Filtering in One Dimensional Symmetric Photonic Quantum-well Structures

Abstract:
Study on the multiple channeled filtering phenomenon of one-dimensional symmetric photonic quantum-well structures is presented by transfer matrix method.It is found that the distribution of transmission peaks is symmetric and almost equal interval.The approximative locations of these peaks can be determined analytically by equivalent theorys.The number of these peaks can be confirmed and adjusted by structural parameter of quantum-well structure,and the stop band can be tuned by choosing high index materials.The structure composed of only two kinds of materials and enjoy quite many materials selectivity,which will facilitate the manufacture and the extension of its application.
