Investigation of Leaching Arsenic-bearing Sulfide Copper Concentrate by Ferric Bacterium Solution
|
Abstract:
The CuS concentrate containing 2.5% As was prepared as the raw material and As, Cu were leached by the heavy concentration ferric bacterium solution which was used as the leaching agent. The effects of pH value, granularity of concentrate grains, initial Fe3+], concentration of pulp, temperature and function of bacterium were investigated in the leaching process. The optimal leaching conditions were obtained by experiments as follows: particle size range 200~ 300 mesh, concentration of pulp 3%~5%, initial Fe3+] 5~30 g/L, leaching time about 10 d; initial pH value 1.5; the leaching ratio of arsenic and Cu2+ are 52.16% and 30% respectively. The results of two compared experiments namely bacterium-bearing leaching and pure chemical leaching Fe2(SO4)3] show that bacterium plays an important role in leaching process.
