Ray Space Interpolation and Viewpoint Rendering Based on Inter-slice Correlation

Abstract:
Based on the analysis of inter-slice correlation in ray space,a new ray space interpolation method was proposed.Using the disparities of neighboring slices,the searching range of disparity estimation was restricted arround the predicted disparity so that the computational complexity of disparity estimation was reduced.Three schemes were proposed according to different reference of dispatiry during ray space data interpolation.The experimental results show that the scheme of bidirectional reference of parallax can obviously improve the speed of ray space interpolation and achieve higher PSNR and well subjective image quality.
