Reflection on Semi-infinite One-dimensional Photonic Crystals Stacked by Two Kinds of Single-negative Materials
|
Abstract:
The reflection of semi-infinite photonic crystals stacked by two kinds of single-negative materials was calculated by transfer matrix and the Bloch theorem. The reflection curves of the semi-infinite photonic crystals become smooth compared with the corresponding finite multi-layered structures, which is the result of the average of the rapidly oscillated reflection in pass band of the finite structure and we can estimate the reflection in pass band can be estimated in this way.In order to analyse the position and width of the gap the reflection of the semi-infinite structure was studied.seethe result shows that there not only exits a zero effective phase gap,but also an angle gap,and the Bragg gap in high frequency is also the omnidirectional gap.
