Design and Testing of a Streak Image Tube with Large Dynamic Range for Soft X Ray

A new streak image tube with wide dynamic range for soft X ray was designed.With a large-area photocathode,the tube features in its less electron transit time inside which can restrain the space charge effects.Therefore the dynamic range was enlarged.Also,experimental evaluation was carried out by means of YAG pico-second laser.The results show that the time resolution is less than 31 ps and dynamic range is more than 922.
