Track Initiation for Dim Small Moving Target Tracking Based on Hypothesis Testing
|
Abstract:
In the spatial domain, the targets are some uniform gray spots with higher congregated degree, whereas, the noises are independent, irrelative and lower congregated. In temporal domain, the target appears in the neighbor region about the forecast position with an important probability, due to the continuity and consistency of motion. In contrast, the false alarms are disorderly, and the probability that they occur at same position in consecutive frames is relatively small. In view of the geometric and temporal characteristic both of the targets and the false alarms,a track initiation approach based on multiple hypothesis testing is proposed for dim small moving target tracking, and its performance is also analyzed.Experimental results show that the method could effectively build the track initiation for the dim small target.
