A Modified Analytical Model of Optical Composite Burst Switching

A modified analytical model of Optical Composite Burst Switching(OCBS)is proposed.This model (MOCBS) takes truncation residue into consideration,and obtains the packet loss probability caused by truncation residue through analyzing the truncation probability and the average length of truncation residue.Thus it can evaluate packet loss probability more accurately.Based on this,prioritized OCBS (POCBS) analytical formula supporting service differentiation is deduced further.Simulations verified the accuracy of the modified model,and the validity of POCBS formula.
