Analysis of Transmitted Spectrum of Two-dimensional Photonic Crystal Polarization Splitters Used in Infrared Region
|
Abstract:
The transmitted spectrum of two-dimensional photonic crystal polarization splitters used in infrared region is calculated by finite difference time domain (FDTD) and the band structure calculated by plane wave expansion method (PWM) is proved. The two-dimensional photonic crystal polarization splitters are fabricated by depositing Ge and BaF2 on a grating by electric beam gun .The polarization phenomenon of photonic crystal is verified by an experiment for normal incidence. The difference between theoretical results and experimental results is analyzed. The fabrication of such a photonic crystal polarization splitter is an easy process based on coating films on the grating and is suitable for industry.
