Theoretical Analysis of the Effect of Aperture on Nonlinear-Refraction Optical Limiting
|
Abstract:
The effect of aperture on optical limiting was analyzed and calculated in two typical optical-systems.The investigative parameters included aperture size and position. The optical systems were ideal telescopic system and ideal focusing system. The calculations were based on Z-scan theory and its modified formulas;the optical-limiting mechanism was nonlinear refraction. In each situation, the effect was analyzed qualitatively and the corresponding numerical curves were gained. This investigation is useful in optimizing and selecting aperture of optical limiters
