Thermal Effect on Up-conversion Fluorescence in Er3+ Doped Silicate Glass
|
Abstract:
The dependence of the up-conversion emission intensity on the temperature in silicate glass excited at 970 nm is reported, and the result shows that the up-conversion emission intensity increases as the temperature rises.A model based on the rate equations considering the temperature dependence multiphonon-assisted excitation and non-radiative transition theories describes well the experiment phenomena. The temperature dependence of fluorescence intensity ration (centered at 524 and 548 nm) is investigated and the theoretical explain is also given. The result implies that the Er3+ doped silicate glass is suitable for the temperature sense organ.
