Scattering Properties of Polymer Stabilized Cholesteric Liquid Crystal
|
Abstract:
Based on electrooptical properties of cholesteric liquid crystal, the relationship between the coherence of scattering light by PSCT and the applied electrical fields was experimentally studied. The coherence properties of scattering light under different applied voltage are measured by the the reversing-front interferogram. The primary relationship between applied voltage and coherence of scattering light by PSCT has been given, which shows that both scattering light intensities and coherence can be controlled electrically.Due to these properties, the coherence-controlled light source can be approached.
