Abstract:

Based on image theory of lens and transmission characteristic of single-mode fiber (SMF),axial intensity distribution of confocal endoscopic imaging system based on SMF is presented.It is found that imaging by the system is nonlinear duing to SMF,illumination system and reception system both affect the sum optical signal intensity,and optical sectioning strength of the system is depended on prober and SFM.Using the experimental set-up of confocal endoscopic image,normalized axial intensity distributions under three different kinds of convertible objective are obtained.The results show that the presented theoretical model of confocal endoscopic imaging system is correct,location precision of scanning point also affect optical sectioning strength of the system,and its design should be allowed for synthetically the capability of optics,mechanism and electron.
