Heteroaxial Double Half-cylindrical Lens Collimate Beam of Laser Diode
|
Abstract:
Using ray-tracing method, the performance of a heteroaxial double half-cylindrical lens(DHCL)used to collimate laser diode beams(LDB)is discussed. The numerical results indicate that a heteroaxial DHCL can be used to collimate LDB and,in the best status, the refractive index of the heteroaxial DHCL can be higher than 2.The simulations also suggest that the collimating performance will get better with the increasing of the refractive index that is limited in a certain range.Theoretically, the radiation angle of LDB in the quick axis can be compressed under 0.1 mrad.
