Temperature Distribution in High Power Photonic Crystal Fiber Laser

Abstract:
Temperature distribution in high power photonic crystal fiber laser is analyzed through the thermal conductive equations.It presentes a steady thermal model of the photonic crystal fiber laser,which is applied to calculate the heat distribution in different fibers at various thermal load.The cooling method of the pump-end is investigated.The results show that air-cooling and water-cooling can significantly reduce the influence of the thermal effect of the high power photonic crystal fiber laser.
