CATHODIC ELECTREPHORESIS PROCESS FOR BONDED NdFeB

The application of NdFeB magnets is limited because its poor corrosion resistance.Although corrosion resistance of bonded NdFeB magnets is better than sintered NdFeB magnets, they still need to be protected.In the present paper a cathodic electrophoresis process for the bonded NdFeB was introduced,focusing on the effects of voltage,time,lacquer's temperature and coating's curing on the coating's corrosion resistance. If appropriate parameters are adopted in the electrophoresis course, the coating can offer good corrosion protection to the bonded NdFeB magnets.
