INHIBITION EFFECT OF SODIUM BARBITAL ON ALUMINIUM ALLOY IN 3.5 % NaCl SOLUTION
|
Abstract:
The inhibitive mechanism of sodium barbital for aluminium alloy in 3.5% NaCl solution was investigated by potentiodynamic polarization and SEM. With the addition of sodium barbial, the inhibitive efficiency increases. The inhibition of sodium barbital results from forming a thin conversion film on the surface of aluminum alloy, which increase the resistance of corrosion.
