INFLUENCE OF SOIL HUMIDITY ON CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF X70 PIPELINE STEEL IN SALINE SOILS OF QINGHAI SALT LAKE REGION
|
Abstract:
The corrosion behavior of X70 pipeline steel in two kinds of saline soils with different humidity is studied by using polarization curve technique, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It is found that the soil humidity obviously affects the corrosion behavior of X70 pipeline steel. The corrosion rate of X70 pipeline steel increases with the increase of soil humidity, and which reaches a maximum by 15-20% water content, then decreases with the increase of soil humidity. In addition, the influence of salt content on corrosion behavior of X70 pipeline steel in the saline soil is also examined.
