MCOMDARATIVE MEASURMENTS OF WEAR LOSS COMPONENT INDUCED BY MECHANICAL ACTION IN CORROSIVE WEAR PROCESS
|
Abstract:
The methods for measuring the component induced only by mechemical action amoung the while weight loss in a corrosive wear process. The methods used include three measurements in disstilled water without and with cathodic protection or adding inhibitor. The weight loss obtamed by the above methods were carefully compared with that in air. The results show that the mechanical wear loss components and friction coefficients obtained by the three methods are close to each other and can be used to calculate the various wear conponents in the study of the mutual effects of corrosion and wear, but the measurements in distilled water for pure iorn and 1045 steel are not recommanded due to their corrosion.
