ELECTROCHEMICAL IMPEDANCE OF CORROSION OF Fe-BASED 801 ALLOY IN A MOLTEN SALT

Abstract:
Electrochemical impedance technique was employed to study hot corrosion of Fe-based 801 alloy in molten (Na, Li, K)_2SO_4. It is shown that hot corrosion of the alloy is diffusion controlled reaction. A relevant equivalent circuit was proposed and combined with an applied software to calculate some electrochemical parameters.
