CHARACTERISTICS OF ANTI-CORROSION/WEAR OF SEVERAL METALLIC PAIRS IN NaCl SOLUTION
|
Abstract:
Corrosion potentials of steels 20,2Cr13,bronze alloys QAl 9-2,QAl 10-3-1.5 and QAl 10-4-4 in NaCl solution, and their corrosion currents during coupling with bronze alloy QAl 9-2 were measured by electrochemical methods. Then the friction and wear characteristics were analyzed for rubbing pairs made by QA19 with those bronze alloys seperatively.Test results reveal that the anti-corrosion properties of bronze alloys are better than that of steels.Although QAl 10-4-4 is the most electropositive material among the bronze alloys,it will result in a greater galvanic corrosion of anode QAl 9-2 when they coupled. The galvanic corrosion for QAl 9-2/ QAl 9-2 pair is the smallest, but its friction compatibility is the worst. Both the anti-galvanic-corrosion property and the friction compatibility are good for QAl 9-2/QAl 10-3-1.5 pair.
