ADSORPTION OF SOME TETRA AMMONIUM SALTS ON ZINC SURFACE AND THEIR CORROSION INHIBITION IN KOH SOLUTIONS
|
Abstract:
The electrochemical features of zinc in KOH solutions containing several kinds of tetra-ammonium salts were investigated by means of the eletrochemical techniques. The results showed that the inhibition efficiency of these inhibitors rised first with increasing their concentrations and hardly changed with continuously increasing the concentrations. It was found that the inhibition of (C 2H 5) 4NBr and R 4NBr for zinc was a covering effect and the inhibition of (C 4H 9) 4NBr was a negative catalytic effect. The patterns of the adsorption of the inhibitors were also discussed.
