FALIURE ANALYSIS OF Cu WIRE FOR GENERATOR STATOR
|
Abstract:
The source of fracture failure of the Cu wire used in generator stator has been analyzed. The results show that since full recrystallization structure of Cu has not been obtained by annealing after deformation so some micro\|cracks may be nuclear. Hence O 2 in the air may diffuse through along the micro\|cracks and form Cu 2O with Cu, then Cu 2O are reduced to Cu by H 2 and CO, meanwhile relax H 2O and CO 2 along grain boundary or micro\|cracks, results in intergranular cracks and cracks elongating. Finally the precautionary measures have been suggested.
