CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF COPPER IN SIMULATED RAINWATER
|
Abstract:
Corrosion behavior of copper in a simulated rainwater of Stockholm area was studied by electrochemical impedance spectrum and polarization curves. The corrosion process of copper in the simulated rainwater was mainly controlled by the electrochemical process at first when there was a little corrosion product on the surface of copper. With the formation of corrosion product, the galvanic corrosion occurred on the surface of copper between different areas without and with corrosion product. The corrosion product on the surface of copper played a cathodic role in the galvanic cell.
