TRIBOELECTROCHEMICAL BEHAVIOR OF 1Cr18 STAINLESS STEEL

The triboelectrochemical behavior of 1Cr18 stainless steel in 0.2 mol/L H_2SO_4 has been studied using a reciprocating triboelectrochemical equipment. The results showed that the friction had no influence on the electrochemical behavior of 1Cr18 stainless steel in the solution but the dissolution current of 1Cr18 stainless steel increased with friction. Hence, the anodic protection becomes useless to the material under the friction condition.
