CORROSION CHARACTERS AND MATERIAL SELECTION FOR SEAWATER COOLING EQUIPMENTS OF SHIPS

Through analyzing the causes of some typical corrosion and breakage failures of seawater cooling equipments of ships in detail,the corrosion features and mechanisms were elucidated,some principles of material selection were postulated in this paper.It was proved in practice that the reasonable material selection and system design is a very important part for anti-corrosion of seawater cooling equipments.
