APPLICATION OF LASER RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY TO THE RESEARCH OF METAL CORROSION
|
Abstract:
Application of laser Raman spectroscopy (LRS) to the research of corrosion has been reviewed. Corresponding characteristic respects and future tendency of the application are elaborated. As the most important application manner, Raman spectroelectrochemistry has been used for the in situ structural determination of corrosion products and study of inhibition mechanism. With LRS, in situ studies of corrosion beneath painting films, measurement of the stress in oxidation films and other applied forms, have been exploited in recent years.
