COMPARISON TEST OF ANTI - AGING PERFORMANCE TO UV RADIATION OF NANO-COMPOSITE COATINGS OF IMR WITH TYPICAL COATINGS APPLIED PRESENTLY FOR AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES

Abstract:
Comparison tests of specimens painted with IMR series of nano-composite coatings and the typical coatings applied presently for aircraft structures were conduced by an accelerated aging test method with UV radiation.The chromatism variations of the coatings with aging time were described quantitatively. In comparison with the coatings applied presently for aircraft structures,the nano-composite coatings showed better anti-aging performance to UV radiation.Therefore,it is prospectively expected that the nano-composite coatings is suitabe cadidate of protective coating for typical aircraft structures.
