THE ELECTROCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CORROSION OF IRON IN H 2SO 4 SOLUTION CONTAINING THIOUREA
|
Abstract:
The effect of thiourea on corrosion of iron in H 2SO 4 solution is analyzed by the function coefficient of inhibitor for electrode process. The results showed that, when the concentration of thiourea was very low, corrosion contral was determined by both the anodic and the cathodic function coefficient, the corrosion current density was enhanced by increasing the concentration of thiourea. Within the main inhibiting concentration range of thiourea, corrosion contral was determined by the cathodic function coefficient.
