STUDY ON ELECTROCHEMICAL INHOMOGENEITY ON OIL PAINTED METAL
|
Abstract:
The electrochemical inhomogeneity on oil painted metal was studied by wire beam electrode. Results showed that the electrochemical state on the surface of wire beam electrode was homogeneous, while the distributions of corrosion potential and DC resistance of oil film were inhomogeneous on oil painted metal, The corrosion potential on substrate would shift to positive direction, low DC resistance area could be decreased and eliminated by adding oil soluble inhibitors.
