ELECTROCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE N,N DIPROPYNOXY METHYL AMINE TRIMETHYL PHOSPHONATE ON PURE IRON IN SULFURIC ACID SOLUTION
|
Abstract:
The electrochemical characteristics of the N, N dipropynoxy methyl amine trimethyl phosphonate in respect to the corrosion inhibition of pure iron in sulfuric acid solution has been investigated by static polarization curve technique and electrochemical impedance spectrum technique. The experimental data have been treated with weak polarization fitting method. The results show that the corrosion potential of N,N dipropynoxy methyl amine trimethyl phosphonate moves toward negative direction. So the inhibition mechanism is a mixed control and a deactirating effect. It is also found that the adsorption of N, N dipropynoxy methyl amine trimethyl phosphonate from sulfuric acid solution on pure iron surface obeys Frumkin's isotherm. With the increase of inhibitor concentration, the extreme value of inhibition is observed. The reason of this phenomenon is discussed.
