The corrosion rate of carbon steel in the prefilming solution was monitored by an on line measurement system consisting of a coulostatic pertubation meter and a micro computer. Based on the analysis of E T attenuation cuves, relevant parameters, R p, C d, R f and C f in equivalent circuit for the electrode system, could be obtained, thus evaluating the quality of the film formed on the electrode quickly and conveniently.
