REVIEW OF PROGRESS IN THERMAL BARRIER COATINGS

With the development of aeronautical gas turbines with high performance, the inlet temperature of the engine has been continuously increasing. Studies on thermal barrier coatings are the most active research projects in the field of high temperature coatings. In the present paper, the design and preparation for TBCs and the failure of the coating at high temperatures are reviewed.
