SYNTHESIS OF LOW PHOSPHONIC WATER STABILIZER TJ -201 AND CORROSION INHIBITIVE PERFORMANCE

Abstract:
Agent TJ-201 is an organic phosphonocarboxylic acid containing maleic group, phosphonic group, and ethoxyl group etc. Rotary coupon test was used to study the corrosion inhibitive performance of TJ-201 for mild steel. The results showed that TJ-201 and Zn( II ) have obviously synergetic effect and the inhibitive performance is influenced by factors such as pH , temperature, rotation speed ,time and so on. The corrosion inhibition rate (no pretreatment) is 99.1% in the field water (normal running concentration: 6 mg/L) and 98.9 % in the compounding water (normal running concentration: 14 mg/L). The agent can be used well at pH 6-12 and temperature from 20 to 80C . It has an excellent performance in corrosion inhibition and heat stability at the proper rotation speed.
