INFLUENCE OF DODECYLAMINE ON ACCELERATED DISSOLUTION OF COPPER - NICKEL ALLOY INITIATED BY AFM TIP- SURFACE INTERACTION
|
Abstract:
The influence of continuous interaction between AFM tip and surface of copper-nickel alloy on its dissolution behavior has been investigated. The results showed that the tip scratching could accelerate the dissolution of copper-nickel alloy in 0.2 mol/L NaCl and 0.01 mol/L HCl solutions. As an organic inhibitor, the addition of dodecylamine in the solution may facilitate the formation of adsorption films on the metal surface. As a result, the energy dissipation and conversion at the interface during the scratching course had been altered and the accelerated dissolution of copper-nickel induced by tip scratching was suppressed.
