UNDERDEPOSIT CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF LN209 OIL TUBE
|
Abstract:
The deposit on LN209 oil tube was observed by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and was found to have three layers. The layer close to the metal matrix was more dence than the other two layers. Underdeposit corrosion of LN209 oil tube was studied by a home made dynamic loop test system with dual speeds and corrosion rate measuring probe. The results showed that when the underdeposit specimen connected with the exposed metal, the former acted as an anodic electrode. The underdeposit corrosion increased with the surface area of exposed metal. When the area ratio of the exposed to the deposited specimen is above 4,the corrosion rate was stable. The underdeposit corrosion increased with the flow velocity.
