PASSIVE FILM FORMED ON F28 STAINLESS STEEL IN UREA MEDIUM

Abstract:
The passive film formed on a stainless steel F28 with low segregation in the urea reactor solution was studied by means of XPS and AES, in comparison with that of Sanicro28 alloy. The results indicated that the reduce in segregation of P.S and Si causes the improvement of corrosion resistance through increasing Cr 2O 3 in the passive film,which leads to the enhancement of protective ability of passive film.
