THE ELECTRONIC CONDUCTIVITY OF SURFACE FILM ON STAINLESS STEEL

Electronic resistance of surface film on 304 stainless steel was measured in liquid Hg. Results show that the electronic conductivity of surface film is considerably high, which is quite different from some published results. The difference of the electronic conductivities in different potential ranges was also briefly discussed.
