According to the Iong Quaternary timescale this paper divides the developmental process of Quaternary into three major tectono}climatic cycles, having a scale of 106years, be ginning with about 3.4, 2.4 and 1.2 Ma. BP. and lasting out an age of 1.0-1.2 Ma respectivoly. Major Cycle III was still subdivided into three subcycles conti-numb 0.4 Ma individuay.
